First Day of Onsite Instruction - Lessons Learned

Dana Middle was excited to welcome 240 students from the A Group (Last names A-K) to school on Monday April 12th. We are looking forward to seeing you tomorrow. We wanted to share a couple of lessons learned from the first day.

  1. School starts at 7:40. We open our doors to students at 7:30. Please make sure to drop off your child around 7:30. Unfortunately we cannot allow students to congregate unsupervised in front of the school.
  2. We recommend students enter the campus from the playground. There are two entry points at this location and the lines are shorter.
  3. All students must complete the Symptom Checklist daily. There are two ways to do this. You can submit a paper version daily OR you can use the electronic method also known as ClearPass. Go to and click “ClearPass” from the front page, the Onsite Menu, or the “For Students” menu. From this page you can go to ClearPass or download the paper forms. IMPORTANT: students choosing to use the ClearPass method must show the “green approved screen” to the staff member at the door prior to entry. You can use your laptop, digital device, or cel phone to do this.
  4. Problems with your student computer? Please visit our school library for assistance.
  5. Students cannot eat lunch on campus but we do have “grab n’ go” options available. Please visit the Onsite section of our website for more information about lunch options.

We are looking forward to seeing students with last names A-K again on Tuesday and L-Z on Wednesday and Thursday!
