Skills For Success Small Groups

The Student Support Center develops small groups of Dana students who need support with goal setting and study skills. The focus of the groups is to provide students with additional support in raising grades and improving behavior. The groups are developed on an as-needed basis.

Military Kids Unite (MKU)
Dana Middle School and the Navy School Liaison Officer at Naval Base Point Loma (NBPL) have teamed up to present Military Kids Unite (MKU) in the school. The MKU will be a afterschool club that Dana students will have the opportunity to join.
The club will provide the opportunity for military children in the school to connect with other military children. The goal is to help children in military families cope with deployments, military moves, and other subjects pertinent to the military child.

Students will need to sign-up for the club during lunch and return the parent permission slip prior to participating. The MKU will meet from 1:10 to 2pm in Room TBD on the first Thursday of each. If you have any questions please contact Mr. Rodger Rosenberg, 619.225.3897 X1400,

Promoting Character Development

Dana students have the opportunity to participate in a program that helps build the skills necessary in living a positive, successful life. Counselors and teachers are working with 5th and 6th grade students on character development through the Word of the Month and The Life Skill of the Month.
