Hi Mariners! Welcome Back! We hope you had a great break. Dana Middle needs this information from you to ensure that we receive all the funding we are entitled to. The money allocated to us from the state and district pays for reading and math help for struggling students, on-line programs, social support programs, and many other things. Our extra programs depend on it. The information will be kept private and will not be used for any other purpose.

  •  Log into the Parent Portal (not your child’s), enter your username and password - https://powerschool.sandi.net/public/
  •  Scroll down to the bottom of the page
    The LCFF Data Collection form can be found on the left-hand side of your screen
  •  Click on LCFF Data Collection
  • Please answer the three questions and submit

Save The Date - January 13th - Crazy Hair Day & Crazy Hair Bingo

Hello Dana parents and students. On January 13 it will be crazy hair day. We will have a crazy hair day contest and a kahoot at noon. Wear your crazy hair to class and make sure to submit  your crazy hair day photos on the Asb website. Go to www.danamiddle.com and click on Dana Student Portal to get there. Have fun.

 
Textbook Distribution - be prepared for Qtr 3: Jan 25-April 9

 Jan 11 -15  12:30 – 4pm Textbooks/Materials Drivethru for Qtr 3

Login to Destiny. Check the MyInfo tab to see what you have and what might need to be returned. Keep ALL Math, Social Studies textbooks at this time. All gr6 Science textbooks may be returned at the end of each quarter. 

Please look for any outstanding textbooks or Dana Middle Library books from a previous year. They may be dropped off on the pallet in the drive thru. As a courtesy during school closure, library books from a previous Elementary site may be returned to Dana as well. They will be sent back to the Elem via school mail. 
Photos and proofs from picture day are being held in the library. Each student was previously emailed in Dec if they had photos to pickup. Please ask for them when you pick up textbooks for Qtr 3. Please remember all in your vehicle are recommended to wear a mask + remember to share the last name and grade of the student you are collecting items for on approach to the assisting staff member.

2020-21 Sexual Health Education Implementation, Requirements and Protocols

Parents may preview the scope and sequence and  all ten lessons on line:

At Dana Middle School, this program will be taught by grade six, social studies teachers.  Dana Social Studies teachers will teach the 10 Sexual Health Lessons in two windows: 
Quarter 3 March 1-12 for students who have social studies periods 1, 2, or 3
Quarter 4 May 3-14 for students who have social studies periods 4, 5 or 6
