Parent Portal Accounts Distributed Sept. 4

Dana Middle will distribute PowerSchool parent portal accounts to families via email on September 4th. Parents will receive an automated email from the school district containing a PDF attachment with login information.

Parents who are new to SDUSD or have never used the parent portal before will need to create an account. Parents with an existing portal account for their child can ignore this email.

Parents will use the Parent Portal to view attendance information and report card grades. Follow this link to learn more about the Parent Portal.

Curriculum Night September 14th

Our Curriculum Night event is scheduled for Wednesday, September 14th from 4:30 to 6:30 PM. This is an in-person event.

  •  At back to school curriculum night you can expect to:
  • Visit your child’s classroom and meet your child’s teachers
  • Learn about the curriculum and instructional goals for the school year

Lost & Found In Cafeteria

Welcome back to another great year. We wanted to let you know that our lost and found is up and running. We already have a full inventory after only five days. Please make sure you let kids know that if they lost something to look for it in the cafeteria lost and found. We will only hold lost and found for the week and donate it the next. After-School Tennis

After-school tennis is coming this Fall to Dana Middle School in Point Loma. This program is for boys and girls ages 10-12 with little to zero tennis experience. We put the "fun" back into fundamentals by introducing and developing skills with the use of games. Follow this link to learn more about our tennis program.

Join the Dana LEGO Robotics Team!

The Dana LEGO Robotics Club is back for another exciting year! In this club, students will work with a team to build LEGO robots, program them to complete challenges, and compete against other teams in a FIRST LEGO League tournament. This is a fantastic opportunity for students to apply STEM concepts, develop creative problem solving skills, make friends, and be part of a team! Dana SSC & SGT Election

Submit your name to be included on the SSC/SGT ballot for 2022-23. Please submit your name for our ballot by Friday, September 9th at 3:00 PM. The election will be held the following week.

Yearbooks For Sale Online

Pre-order your 2022-23 Dana Yearbook today. Last year we sold out so reserve your copy now. Dana Middle has implemented a new online program for purchasing school-related items such as yearbooks and lost textbooks. The system is called School Cash Online and is approved by the SDUSD Finances Department. Parents must register for a School Cash Online account. The account will follow the student as they matriculate to Correia and Point Loma High School.

Elective Change Requests

Parents may request their student's elective to be changed by using the online request form.  Please read the top portion of the form in its entirety before submitting a request.  By submitting the form, you agree to the fact we may may need to change other classes to accommodate your request. All requests must be submitted by Friday, Sept.16. When the window closes, our counseling team will review your request and only contact families if the request is approved. Thank you for your patience, our counselors are working hard to accommodate your requests.
