Textbook Drive Up - Distribution of Textbooks coming soon. Drive thru hours 10 am – 5 pm

  • If you had Science in per 1A, 2A or 3A you may return Science Resources (gr5) or Earth Science (gr6) as you pick up new materials. Science textbooks may be placed on the flatbed cart while you are waiting delivery of qtr 2 items. If you were issued an Advanced 2 workbook please return this to campus as well.

  • Please check Destiny prior to coming to the drive thru. destiny.sandi.net 

  • Students login using their six digit ID and password, click MyInfo tab-lists current items checked out  See if you have any outstanding textbooks or library books from a previous year. (You will see that your current textbooks have been pre checked out for you (note the Oct check out date)

Drive Thru directions:

  1. Enter the blacktop playground by way of the parking lot off Narragansett Ave

  2. Follow the cone pathway between the multipurpose room and the library

  3. Please remain in your car

  4. Remember to wear a mask

  5. Share a student last name, grade level, and purpose of visit with staff member

  6. Staff member will bring materials to you

Counseling Team Message - A Message from the Dana Counseling Team: Students have two ways they can talk to their school counselor.  Students can request an appointment or visit drop-in office hours Mondays on Zoom. Click here for more information.

School Pictures - Gerardy Photography Company will be at Dana on Monday, October 19, 2020 from 10:00am - 5:00pm. Gerardy will host the school pictures event in the Quad area. If your child would like to take pictures, please remember the following safety protocols:

  1. Please practice social distancing

  2. Please wear a mask, the mask may be removed when the picture is taken

  3. No public restrooms will be available

  4. Temperature checks will be processed by Gerardy upon arrival at the entrance of Quad area

  5. Please park in the main parking lot at the front of the school

Gerardy will consider hosting more picture events at a future date, if you are unable to attend Monday, October 19, 2020 10:00am - 5:00pm event.

Supporting Military Families - Supporting our Military Families: Dana’s Military and Family Life Counselor (MFLC) program.  This program addresses the impact of military life on children and their families and focuses on issues such as deployment stress, family reunions following deployment, coping skills, relocation adjustment, grief and loss, friendships, and building resilience. 

Our MFLC is Michelle Labrador; she provides telehealth counseling sessions to military connected children and their families. Telehealth counseling sessions are available by contacting Michelle at 619-323-5332. 

The services are short term, non-medical solution-focused counseling. The services augment existing military support services and are free of charge and private/confidential. The exceptions to confidentiality include duty to warn and mandated reporting situations. 

Federal Survey Cards coming to you soon! Starting October 7th, San Diego Unified School District will mail out the Federal Survey Cards.  Please fill out the Federal Survey Cards and return them in the postage paid envelopes provided.  Thank you for helping us complete this yearly survey.

Choice Window Opens 10/5 - Applications for the 2021-2022 school year choice enrollment started October 5, please go to Choice website to apply
